HUNDREDS of people visited Daventry Country Park on Sunday for a whole host of rural activities, fun and games.

The annual Countryside Day run by Daventry District Council (DDC) was a showcase for the best of traditional rural events in one of the biggest days of the year at the park.

Visitors got to see birds of prey and dog training displays while there was a chance to have a look at the new outdoor gym along with face painting, a bouncy castle and rides for youngsters.
