A CONCERT will be held next month in memory of a grandmother who died from motor neurone disease.
Danetre School will be hosting the event which has been organised in memory of Yvonne Haynes, from Badby, who passed away in September last year aged 71.
Her grandchildren Amy and Steven Haynes are arranging the concert on Saturday, June 11, and all proceeds will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Amy said: “I am a music teacher whilst Steven is studying violin at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
“We have asked our friends, colleagues, band mates, teachers and students to take part in the concert and will have a range of performances from solo instrumentalists and singers to groups put together just for the concert.
“We will have performances by music college students and graduates as well students from Daventry Music Centre.
“There should be something for everyone and the concert is bringing together family and friends to celebrate my grandmother’s life and raise money for a fantastic charity.”
Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children, students and OAPs and can be obtained from Lottie on 01327 878594 or Sandra on 01327 878105.
