Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village was packed with students this morning collecting their A Level results.

The sixth form centre, opened in 2011, celebrated a strong improvement in grades across the board with a pass-rate of 98%- the national average.

DSLV principal, David Howell, said, “We are so pleased that our new Sixth Form is continuing to improve. This is only our second set of A Level results and all indicators are moving upwards. It is great to see students moving on to exciting university courses. Staff and students have worked really hard for this and I am grateful for the tremendous support from our parents in establishing the Sixth Form at DSLV.”

Students are going on to a range of university courses including Physics at Nottingham, Psychology at Cardiff, Biochemistry at Surrey, Geography at Portsmouth.

Kieran Russ, who has a keen interest in Forensic Studies,was been awarded a scholarship at Winchester.
