STUDENTS and staff from Northamponshire College’s Daventry campus walked for charity on Monday.
Level 3 pupils stepped out with their tutor Sonia Martin and assessor Debbie Waters to walk between the Daventry and Northampton campuses – around 16 miles – all in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Level 3 tutor Sonia Martin was pleased with their efforts. She said: “We managed it in six hours, which is very good.
“We were all very sore and a bit uncomfortable the day after.
“We wanted to do something big to raise money for the charity, but we also wanted to highlight the two campuses.
“We raise money every year for the charity as it’s the same charity that a hairdressing show we go to supports as well.
“On Friday, May 25, we’re also having a hair show and all the proceeds from that will go to the charity.”
