AROUND 80 people attended the annual Good Friday procession in the town.
The Churches Together in Daventry arranged the walk, which features a cross being carried through the town centre.
Aileen Brewer, who did two bible readings during the precession, said: “We started at St Augustine’s Catholic Church and went around the town before finishing at the Methodist Church on Lodge Road.
“Around 80 people attended and it was a really enjoyable event.
“The turn out was very good this year.
“The procession is something we do every year to mark Good Friday.
“It’s arranged by Churches Together in Daventry and there are a number of stopping points along the way.
“We have a number of hymns, readings and prayers at the various points.
“It’s basically a church service which is held throughout the town.
“We were lucky with the weather as well.
“ It was a bit windy but thankfully still dry, which helped the day go well.”
