YOUNGSTERS at a village primary school were involved in a week-long series of activities which culminated in a parade.
The pupils from Crick Primary School were visited by artists from a company called Festive Road, based in Milton Keynes.
They specialise in producing outfits for carnivals and helped children to make hats and flags at the beginning of last week.
The designs were based around the theme of famous South American carnivals while the hat designs were inspired by very bright and colourful exotic birds, such as parrots, from the rainforest.
The school’s headteacher Jan James said: “A Brazilian choreographer taught all the children some simple samba dance movements which was great fun.
“The finale was a spectacular carnival parade on the school field which was made trickier by a squally wind.”
