CHILDREN at Braunston Primary School have created and modelled some unusual fashion items.
Called Braunston Recycled, the youngsters created garments and accessories made using recycled materials. Items ranged from scarves and ties made out of used fabric to wigs made from shower caps. Plastics bags and old t-shirts were also used as part of the extraordinary ensembles.
Pupils enjoyed the chance to strut down the catwalk to the tune of their choice for a fashion show held on Tuesday last week. Parents, carers and other family members were invited to watch.
Headteacher Sue Rigby said: “So many parents said to me at the end of the show how brilliant the event was and that their children had been so proud of the items they had made.
“This was a really fun event that made everyone smile.”
