Campion School and Language College is celebrating the fact that this year’s GCSE results are the best, by some measure, in the history of the school.
77 per cent of students achieved five or more A* to C (including English and maths), which shows a seven per cent improvement on last year.
The number of students achieving the highest grades (A* to A) was 16.
Top of the achievement is Charlotte Jones with 12 A* grades, closely followed by Martha Simpson (10 A* and two A grades).
Twins Joe and Drew Grant, both achieved more than 10 A grades each.
Headteacher, Mr Bob Clayton, said “I am immensely proud of the achievements of Campion students.
“These excellent results follow on the back of last week’s superb A-Levels.
“I am particularly pleased with the fact that 81 per cent of our students achieved an A* to C in a modern foreign language.
“These results place Campion amongst the highest achieving schools in the county and are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of both students and staff.”
