A Whilton woman has arranged a charity raffle as part of her bid to set up a children’s hospice in the town.

Sandra Coleman was inspired to launch the campaign after losing her eight-year-old nephew to leukaemia. Prizes include a luxurious stay at Coombe Abbey, a gold and diamond necklace worth £600 and £100 worth of Lego. Tickets cost £2 each and are available from various outlets, including the Daventry Express offices, The Boat House in Braunston, Buddies and The Lockgate Cafe in Whilton. Visit www.facebook.com/rainbowstrail for a full list of places. The raffle will be drawn on December 15 at the Lockgate Cafe.
