A FORMULA 1 car was the talk of the town in Daventry last week.
The 2001 Jordan car had a temporary parking space in Sheaf Street on Thursday to help promote the Evergreen Art Cafe’s latest exhibition, themed around the sport.
Inside there were paintings of F1 drivers, including current F1 champion Sebastien Vettel, legendary driver Michael Schumacher and British favourites Jenson Button and Sir Stirling Moss.
The pieces, including many by pop-based artist Paul Oz, were on display until Monday.
The cafe’s owner Simon Williams said: “It was an excellent F1 exhibition that showcased numerous Paul Oz Originals.
“The exhibition proved to be a success with Paul Oz himself meeting his fans and we managed to please many of our customers when we treated them with a 2001 Jordan F1 car parked outside.
“It’s not something you see every day in Daventry.”
