A ‘BOBBLE Day’ in Daventry will help raise funds for AGE UK’s Spread the Warmth Campaign.

The event will take place tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday at the town’s Age UK store in Bowen Square.

The aim of the campaign is to help tackle the fact that more than 200 older people die every year in winter because of the cold weather.

Money raised will be spent on warm meals, helping to keep homes warm and giving information and advice all year round.

Daventry shop manager Donna Haddon said: “The knit trend is showing no sign of waning and the charity’s mini bobbles in pink, yellow or orange are perfect for brightening up any woolly winter wardrobe.

“You can wear them on your knitted jumper, pop one on your beanie or pin them to your scarf to help raise vital funds to help older people and show your support.”
