Staff climb three peaks
A GROUP of workers from a chartered accountancy firm completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for charity.
The team of seven people, partners and staff from DNG’s Daventry and Northampton offices, climbed Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in under their target time of 24 hours. They managed to raise 7,800, which smashed their target of 5,000, which will go to the Northamptonshire Community Foundation and the Cystic Fybrosis Trust.
Ian Robson, team member and partner at DNG’s Daventry office, said: “Each team member put in a tremendous amount of personal effort during training and the event itself which we all agree has been worth it for the real difference that our contributions will make to the two charities.
“As well as being professional advisors to many local charities we’re also keen to do our bit in helping out smaller voluntary groups in the county so knowing that our contribution to the foundation will go to help these less well known causes is particularly satisfying.”
This is the second time this year that staff from DNG’s Daventry office have been involved in raising money for good causes. In June, a group of ladies from the office took part in the Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK.
