Salon aiming to be the jewel in Prince’s crown

A NEW hair salon has opened its doors in Daventry town centre.

Tagliair, which is based in Prince William Walk, officially opened for business on Monday, October 3.

The salon is run by Tracey Goode and Dawn Marklew, who both used to work at Snips hairdressers on Brook Street.

Tracey said: “We mentioned that we would like to work together and it all just snowballed from there really.

“Following that we found the premises here and thought they would be ideal for what we want.

“The building has got good access for disabled customers and a car park very close by.

“I know Daventry is full of salons but we feel we have something different.

“We offer a friendly service and have over 20 years’ experience each.”

Since opening, the salon has received a very good response in the town.

Evergreen Art Cafe has agreed to put some work on display in the salon, as has High Street business Orange Blossom Florist.

Tracey added: “We are really delighted to be getting the displays here, they will definitely add something extra to the salon.

“The salon is very spacious and has been fully redecorated since we took over. We have been very busy so far.

“And we have had some very nice comments from customers who can’t believe the difference here.”

“We are a unisex salon and welcome old and new customers.”
