HOMEOWNERS who want to cut their energy bills are being encouraged by Daventry District Council to take advantage of Government grants.
Residents may be able to receive financial help under a new national project, the renewable heat premium scheme.
All properties regardless of size and heating type are eligible for a payment towards the cost of solar panels and other renewable heat-generating technologies.
Cllr Daniel Cribbin, the council’s portfolio holder for environment, said: “Wider benefits of the scheme enable householders to generate their own energy while lowering fuel bill and carbon emissions.”
Grant applications can be submitted on the Energy Saving Trust website or by contacting Alice Ellis at the council on 01327 871100.
