A CARER has set up her own business with the focus on a personal service for dementia sufferers.
All Aspects Care, established by Nina Tobin, aims to work with people in their own homes.
She left her job at Daventry’s Spring Gardens sheltered housing complex to pursue the new venture, but it was looking after family which most inspired her.
Mrs Tobin, who now works from home in Thirlmere Close, Daventry, said: “I look after my own grandparents who suffer with de-mentia.
“I realised there were not a lot of care businesses out there which specialised in dementia so I thought this was a gap in the market.”
Services include guidance on malnutrition, overnight care and help with form filling. It also offers a rapid response service offering care, help and support.
Mrs Tobin added: “We want to do it right. For instance, we shall make sure the same carers visit people each time. Older people ap-preciate the consistency.
“It’s about providing a more personal service where others cannot.”
The business was set up in March and there has been offers of help.
Mrs Tobin said: “It has been going really well so far, we are starting to get people referred to us by the Alzheimer’s Society.
“Distribution firm Win-canton has paid for a pitch at Daventry Fun Day on Saturday, so we hope that succeeds in generating more interest.”
