A pair who have taken over a village pub will be looking to present ‘elevated’ pub food after re-opening the venue for the first time in seven months.
Kevin Broomfield and Sarah Gill are now running The Maltsters Inn at Badby and have been delighted with the response.
Mr Broomfield said: “We have been really welcomed by all of the locals. It is a great location, a really pretty village and the perfect venue for us really.
“What we want to do now is get the pub a little bit wider known in some of the surrounding areas.”
The pub is hoping the food that is on offer will be the avenue it can really mark.
Mr Broomfield added: “We will be doing things like nachos, steaks and burgers but we will be doing something with a twist.
“It will all be local produce and the best of the area, there will be smoked meats and lots of high quality local products used and everything is cooked on site.
“We won’t be doing fine dining but it will be elevated pub food.”
The pair have extensively refurbished the venue prior to its reopening in June and later in the year hope to start running a shop.
