A traditional barbers is celebrating 25 years in the town with a move into a bigger unit.
Jeeves will move further down the High Street in Daventry – to premises formerly occupied by Cartridge World – to become Jeeves at 54.
A date for the opening has not yet been officially set but its owners are hoping to open before the end of April.
Mike Berryman, joint owner of the business alongside Paul Fox, said: “We have simply outgrown the building we are in now.
“We are quite a traditional barber shop, not very modern or fancy. This unit gives us a bit more space and we can expand.
“Hopefully, with the new move the barbers will continue to grow and grow and become even more successful.” As part of the opening, the store has undergone a massive facelift and transformed the venue.
The new name for the store came about by chance.
Mr Berryman added: “I was having a chat with Paul about the name because we said it will no longer be Jeeves at 40, it will now be Jeeves at 54.
“A little lightbulb went off in both of our heads and we thought the new name just rolled off the tongue.”
The duo have made no firm plans for the old unit but are currently thinking about using it as a training venue for other barbers.
