The people running Fawsley Hall have confirmed that it is business as usual after it emerged the hotel was up for sale.
The Grade I listed country house and luxury hotel has been put up for sale for £15 million.
Operations director Brian Garside said: “As a result of the hotel industry becoming aware that the owners of Fawsley Hall have emigrated, several parties have made approaches to buy the hotel which has enjoyed record sales and profits in the current year.
“The directors will examine all the options over the next few weeks.
“Whatever the outcome, going forward, it will be business as usual at Fawsley Hall.”
It is understood the owners also own the Grayshott Hotel in Surrey and the sale is partly to raise funds for improvements there.
A spokesman for Christies + Co, which is selling the freehold on the buildings on behalf of the owners, said: “It is a profitable hotel business so I would think it will remain a hotel under the next owners too.”
The hotel is a popular upmarket wedding venue. It has 58 bedrooms and suites, a spa, indoor swimming pool and 29-seat private cinema with tiered seating. It is also home to the 2 AA rosette Equilibrium restaurant.
Jeremy Jones, of Christie + Co, said: “With its mix of unique historical features with stylish and contemporary facilities, it fully merits its reputation as one of the finest country house hotels in the UK.”
