FUNDS have been donated to an organisation which helps improve employment prospects for youngsters in the Daventry district.

The DHL Community Foundation handed £300 to SWAN (South West Area of Northamptonshire) which works at schools including Danetre, William Parker, Guilsborough and Campion.

Business engagement manager Sam Fitzgerald said: “We support school children in enhancing their employment skills. The money will go towards future events at the schools; there’s so many things we could spend it on.

“We hold employability days where we go into the schools and teach skills that aren’t on the national curriculum like mock interviews, CV writing and dress codes.”
