A Daventry firm has warned landlords and letting agents to take responsibility to protect tenants from the potentially fatal legionnaire’s disease.

The warning comes from B and V Water Treatment on the Heartlands Business Park. Firms found not taking the fatal disease seriously could face a hefty fine.

The firm has developed a one-day training course which is designed to provide all the information that landlords and letting agents need in order to understand legionella bacteria and provide practical tools for controlling the bacteria, including a template that can be used to conduct simple domestic legionella risk assessment.

The next course being held at the B & V Training Academy in Daventry is on Tuesday, April 21. Email trainingcourses@bvwater.co.uk to book a place on the course.
