Businesses in Daventry District are meeting this month to share best practice on the environmental issues they have been working on.

The Daventry and District Environmental Business Network gives local organisations the chance to network and discuss environmental matters and runs regular breakfast meetings that are held at different locations within the district.

Over 120 businesses are members of the network and the next breakfast meeting is being held at 8am on Wednesday, May 15, at Cummins in Daventry.

Cummins has recently introduced a number of energy reduction and water efficiency initiatives, which they will be telling other organisations about at the meeting.

The Environmental Business Network is a partnership between Daventry District Council, Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited, the University of Northampton and RUR3 Environmental Ltd.

DDC community manager Maria Taylor said: “The Daventry and District Environmental Business Network works to support and signpost businesses to organisations that can help on all environmental matters.

“The forthcoming meeting at Cummins will be a good opportunity to share best practice on what they have achieved and I would encourage more businesses in the district to get in touch with us and see how they can benefit.”

Any organisations that would like to attend the meeting or join the network need to register with Alice Ellis at Daventry District Council on 01327 871100.
