Burglars attempted to pull panels off a garden centre wall and then used a post as a battering ram.

Police were called to Whilton Locks Garden Village at 3.30am on Monday after reports of someone trying to break into the building.

The offenders had pulled metal panels off the outside wall, and appear to have then tried to use a battering ram and metal bars to get through the brick wall.

Nothing is believed to have been taken.

Any witnesses should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or talk anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
