Daventry District Council (DDC) is holding a briefing for people thinking of standing as a candidate or acting as an agent in the forthcoming district and parish elections in May.
Organised by the council’s elections team, it will cover the nomination process, the election timetable, absent voting, postal vote opening, and polling day and candidates expenses.
There will also be an opportunity to take the nomination papers away and ask any questions regarding the nomination and election process.
The briefing will be held at 5pm on Tuesday March 29 in the council chamber at DDC’s offices in Lodge Road, Daventry.
Anyone who wishes to attend should contact the elections team on 01327 871100 or email email@example.com, by the end of today, Thursday March 24 2016.
Anyone who is unable to attend but would like to find out more can contact the team on the details above and they will be happy to answer any queries.
Elections for one-third of DDC’s seats and for a number of parish councils are being held on Thursday, 5 May, along with the election for a Police and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire.
