GROUPS and individuals across the Daventry area are getting the coffee in and checking their mugs ahead of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The event takes place on Friday, September 30, and schools, businesses, community groups and private homes will be putting the kettle on and serving up tasty cakes and biscuits while raising money for charity.
In Daventry, the Honey Bees and Stars group will be holding an event at the Grange Family Centre.
The Timken Residents’ Association and Daventry Tigers will be serving up coffee and cakes at the Mayfield Sports Park.
Barclays Bank in the High Street is also organising an event, and the Women in Rural Enterprise group will be sipping coffee and tea on the day.
In Charwelton the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will take place in the village hall.
Ahead of the game is Norton where the regular coffee morning, held today (Thursday), will be raising money for Macmillan.

This year money raised from events across Northamptonshire will go toward’s Macmillan’s £1.55 million target to build the Northampton Macmillan Haematology Suite at the general hospital, although fundraisers can opt for the money to go towards the general Macmillan budget.
