A TROPHY currently held by the Daventry branch of the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers will be displayed in Daventry this month.
The Daventry branch hold the Harry Wooding Trophy and have arranged for it to go on display at Daventry Library, off North Street.
The team are the current holders of the trophy after winning an annual competition involving teams from across the region held at Oakham, in Rutland, on Saturday, September 15.
Branch spokesman Geoff Pullin said: “The trophy is a fine model of a bell hung in a timber frame in the traditional English way for full-circle ringing.
“It will be on display until January 26 in the showcase facing you as you enter Daventry Library.”
