A BOAT has been used to transport beer to the Crick Boat Show.

The beer was delivered on the waterways to mark the 60th anniversary of Marston’s Pedigree and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The boat named Swift set off with the barrels of beer from Burton on Friday and finished the 74 mile trek to Crick Marina on Tuesday.

Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival runs from Saturday to Tuesday.

It is open from 10am till 6pm every day except Tuesday 5 June, when it closes at 5pm. Tickets can be bought in advance, saving up to 25 per cent on gate prices. Entry is free for under 5’s. For more information visit www.crickboatshow.com or call the ticket hotline 01283 742972.
