A TOWN centre warden endured around 40 tins of baked beans being poured over his head - all in the name of charity.
Simon Dunne, who works for Daventry Business Partnership (DBP), agreed to take part in the stunt on the High Street on Saturday to raise cash for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
He said: “I did enjoy it and it was good fun but it was very cold.
“I was wearing a wet suit and sat in the beans for about 45 minutes before it started raining.
“We have a good relationship with the charity so I was happy to be able to do something for them.
“I might do it again in the near future.”
