CHILDREN have been getting creative this week with an arts and crafts club at Daventry Leisure Centre.
The sessions, running from yesterday (Wednesday) to tomorrow (Friday), have given young people the chance to get creative in a rewarding and exciting environment and make new friends.
Sports coach Sara Hanby, helping at the crafts club, said: “The club gives childen something to do while they aren’t at school and lets their imaginations run wild.
“They get the chance to express themselves, release their imaginations and make new friends they wouldn’t have met otherwise. The children have been getting really into it.”
The club’s children were making everything from a hat with a wig to a flowery piece of art work.
Children aged 7-15 can still get involved at the cost of £12 per day. The camps also run during half term. Contact the Sports and Leisure Team on 01327 871144.
