AN 83-YEAR-OLD man is asking for help to find his wife’s wedding ring which she has had for 61 years.
Arthur Eccleston from Daventry has said that his wife Ivy, 83, lost the ring on Saturday, August 11 when she visited the town centre.
He said: “She has lost a lot of weight recently and we think it might have slid off her fingers.
“My wife has been left very upset at losing the ring because she has had it such a long time. It would mean the world to her if it were returned.
“We are hopeful that someone who comes across the ring will get in touch or hand it in to the police.”
Mr Eccleston believes the ring could be anywhere around the Danetre Drive and town centre areas.
The ring is a described as a plain gold band with no inscription on it.
Anyone who has found the ring can call Mr Eccleston on 01327 702478.
