Althorp named as one of star’s top UK locations

FILM star Rupert Everett has named Althorp as one of the four best places in Britain.

The statement has been welcomed by the stately home’s owner, Earl Spencer.

The actor named Althorp as one of his favourite places in Britain, along with London’s West End, Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire and Chichester in West Sussex in a film made for tourism group, Visit Britain.

In the short film, he recalled filming at Althorp for his 1984 movie, Another Country.

The Earl also appeared in the film as an extra and welcomed the actor’s mention of Althorp.
