MHDE Stereotypical Blues Train

A BAND from the Daventry district will be the headline act at a pub music event in the town on Sunday.

Stereotypical Blues Train, who were formed two years ago, will be appearing at The Sunday Sessions held at The Coach and Horses in Warwick Street.

The band who have achieved success in their short time together are all in their early 20s and are heavily influenced by old school rock sound from the 1970s, including Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, Motley Crue and BB King.

Members of the band include Tom Cannell as lead vocalist, Ben Hood as guitarist and back-up vocalist who combine with the bass guitar of Flynn Whelan and the drumming work of Sam Thorne.

The band are well on the way to establishing themselves having taken part in the MMG Battle of the Bands competition where they reached the regional final.

It will be the first of many gigs that Stereotypical Blues Train have got lined up around the county. They will be taking to the stage at pubs in Northampton, Market Harborough and Moulton.

They will also be performing at The Wheatsheaf in Braunston on Saturday, April 7 and will be appearing at The Maltsters in Weedon on Saturday June 9.

Other music acts will be performing on the night but they have yet to be announced.

Music starts at 8pm and entrance to the night is free.

The Sunday Sessions is a regular music event which is held on the first Sunday of every month and is the first one to be held this year.
