THERE was seaside fun including fairground rides and Punch and Judy shows in Daventry
The annual Daventry by the Sea event will run until Saturday in Sheaf Street.
There is also a giant sandpit where youngsters can build sand castles (buckets and spades provided) as well as face painting and children’s arts and crafts.
This year Angels Daycare Nursery has got involved and has its own gazebo at the bottom of Sheaf Street.
Nursery owner Melanie Warden said: “We though this was a good chance to be part of the community and the children have really been enjoying it.
“Some of the older children helped us set everything up and it’s been good fun being outside.”
Lisa Davis was at the fairground rides with her nephew MJ.
She said: “It’s nice to have this in town because there’s not a lot for kids to do, especially during the holidays.”
