Police have reopened the A5 near Watford village after closing it this morning due to a fire at a nearby business premises.

The road was closed in both directions between the junction with the B5385 (Watford Gap crossroads) and Kilsby Road leading to Watford village.

The business affected is believed to be Venture Caravans.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at around 7.50am to reports of a building on fire. Crews are still at the scene fighting the fire.

Simon Wade drove past the fire this morning. He said: “It [the fire] was pouring out of the roof on the building. It must of been going for a long time before to get this big.”
