THERE was a final adventure of the summer holidays held at Daventry Country Park.

A series of events called Monday mini adventures have been held at the park. Designed for younger children, they have been organised by Daventry District Council (DDC).

These events have been a hit with youngsters over the past three Mondays with activities including bug hunting and pirate adventures.

Julie Partridge, DDCs community projects officer, said: “The final Monday mini-adventure at Daventry Country Park was very well attended with more than 70 children who came along to find out how to make bee boxes with a local expert and they got to take them home to hang in their gardens.

“There was also origami, which was very popular as the children learnt how to make birds and families also enjoyed another treasure trail.

“We would like to thank everyone who has enjoyed the sessions at the country park over the past three weeks and we hope to have some more adventures over the October half term.”
