DDC leader Cllr Chris Millar said: “It’s incredibly important to this council to support local businesses and we want them to thrive.

“We were honoured to host the Meet the Buyer event in Daventry and it was fitting it should be held in the iCon Centre, which offers such fantastic support to fledgling firms.

“This is a really good place to invest in and we want to encourage more businesses to come to this area, which in turn will have longer term benefits our residents.”

Alistair Weir, managing director at Jeakins Weir, said: “There are a lot of good local companies in the Daventry area and it was pleasing to see so many of them at the event.”
