PUPILS at a primary school have been rewarded for their hard work creating smoke free homes.
Youngsters at The Grange School were asked to design posters advertising no smoking and smoke free homes. The posters were judged and awards were given out at an assembly on Monday, June 22, which was attended by officials from Daventry District Council and the mascot from Northampton Town Football Club.

Year Six teacher Cassie Knight is in charge of personal social health and economic education at the school. She said: "Some of our children have members of their families who smoke and this campaign is a good way to help the children make informed choices about not smoking and how they can encourage others to do the same.

"It has played a huge part in our drugs awareness education."

For more information on stopping smoking, call the NHS Stop Smoking Service on 0845 601 3116 or the Free Home Fire Safety Check on 0800 3899950.
