Man dies in car accident

A 19-YEAR-OLD Crick man died in a car accident on Friday night. (November 7)
The crash happened at around 8.30pm on Friday on the A428 between Crick and West Haddon, where two cars collided just south of Crick.

One of the cars was an H registered, old-style metallic silver Ford Fiesta.

The passenger in the Fiesta, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been officially named by police as Christopher John Lawson.

Another man, from Yelvertoft, who was also in the Fiesta, was seriously injured and is currently in a serious condition in the high dependency unit at Northampton General Hospital.

The Fiesta was in collision with a Mazda MX 5 car.
The driver, who is a 39-year-old man from Surrey, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the Fiesta in the Crick area before the collision, any time between 8 and 8.30pm.
