A WEIGHT Watchers group in Daventry got to trial a new way to get active and fit.
The group, meeting at Daventry Leisure Centre, has joined forces with Nintendo UK to run Wii Fit Plus trials in its sessions.
Members of the Daventry Weight Watchers group got a chance to try out the new Wii Fit Plus, a console game aimed at wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle and who are looking for a fun way to workout at home.
Group leader Sue Howe said: "The health benefits of increasing activity levels are widely known yet so many people struggle to fit it in around busy schedules, which is why I'm helping my members get into the habit of finding quick, easy and fun ways to exercise."
The unique partnership between Nintendo and Weight Watchers is intended to get more people having 30 minutes of exercise daily.
The trial will also be available at the group's next meeting on Wednesday at 5.45pm at the leisure centre.
