TWO elderly women were the victims of a distraction burglary in Welton on Friday.
At around 7.30pm the two women, aged 82 and 79, heard a noise in a garden in Round Close and went outside to investigate.
They spotted a man outside the garden who told them the fence was broken and persistently tried to get them to examine it with him.
One of the ladies went back to the house to call the police and saw two further men leaving out of the front door. She later discovered that money had been stolen from one of the rooms.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men hanging around in the area on Friday night or be able to identify them. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 08453 700700.
