AN ACCIDENT on the M1 has caused serious delays for drivers this morning (Thursday, March 11).
At 3am a car went into the back of a lorry, causing a number of bottles of coke to spill over the motorway between junctions 15 and 15A.

The M1 has now reopened but the back log of cars had reached the M25. The latest information received from the Highways Agency says drivers are experiencing delays of an hour-and-a-half.

Traffic is expected to get back to normal from 11.30am.
