A DAVENTRY store celebrated its first birthday with a party for all the family.
Pets at Home, based at the Abbey Retail Park, held the event at the weekend, which also included a raffle in aid of Support Adoption For Pets - a charity which helps encourage the rehoming of adoptable animals.
Youngsters took part in a free colouring competition, with a chance to win a fish tank or the runners-up prize of a stuffed toy, and there was also a special birthday cake.
Peter Gambrill, deputy manager, said: "The birthday party was our way of saying a big thank you to pet lovers in Daventry for their support over the last 12 months.
"It is a real pleasure welcoming the town's pets and their owners into our store and we're looking forward to meeting many more in the future.
"We always look to be actively involved in the local pet community and hope that we are able to support lots of local organisations in raising awareness of responsible pet care in the area."
