MORE than 70 brides-to-be walked through the doors at the latest Daventry Express Wedding Fair.
The event, which is staged twice a year, was declared a success as almost 20 exhibitors helped hopeful brides get inspiration for their big day.
The Daventry Hotel was the scene for the five-hour fair, which featured all sorts of ideas and suppli
es for those who visited on Sunday.
A free glass of champagne awaited every prospective bride as they arrived.
Two fashion shows held during the day, one by Serendipity Brides and another from Joanne Maude Dress Designers, showcased a large range of dresses, while there were four bridal dress exhibitors to visit at the show.
Make-up, jewellery, balloons, good nutrition and handmade invitations were all featured on stalls while there were two florists, two discos, two photographers and luxury wedding cars.
Some of the names taking part in the show included Granmead's Florists, Sharmore's Flowers, Balloon World, Budget Brides, Shop for Brides, Knightley's Cars and Jems Photography.
Sue Eaton, key account manager at the Daventry Express, said: "It was a very successful day and we had dozens of brides-to-be visiting us.
We are planning to stage the event at the hotel again in October, so there will be a second opportunity for all the people who couldn't make it on this occasion."
