AN 11-YEAR-OLD is looking for people to take part in a fun run at the weekend.

Hanim Miah, who lives in Queen Street, Weedon, is behind the fundraiser which will take place at Woodford Halse Primary School on Saturday.

People can pay £1 to enter and do two laps of the school’s playing field.

Money raised will be go to the charity WaterAid which provides safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to some of world’s poorest people in 27 different countries.

Hanim told the Daventry Express: “I wanted to do something to help people get clean water because there are lots of people out there who cannot get some.

“It means people get diseases and even die because they have not got clean water.”

Hanim added: “I am hopeful that there will be a 100 people turn up and do the run. That would be good.

“Anybody can do it, even if they just want to walk it or go round backwards.”

Anyone looking to join Miah in taking part in the fun run can turn up at the school at midday.
