A YELVERTOFT man will be seeing his work shown alongside some of the leading watercolour artists in London next month.
Roger Griffiths’ artwork will be on display at The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours’ 200th exhibition at Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square between Wednesday, March 14 and Sunday, March 25.
He has been selected from almost 900 entries to show his pieces of work.
Mr Griffiths, who is an entirely self taught watercolour artist, said: “I aim to express the underlying patterns in the landscape generated by my interest in geology and geography, but the interpretations are not intended to be fully representational.
“I find particularly interesting the landscapes in areas of transition between lowland and upland and sea and land, with features such as hill farms marking past and present human activity, field patterns and rock outcrops.”
