Visitors to Kelmarsh Hall will be transported to colonial North America this May Bank Holiday.
Over the course of the two days - Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26, the soldiers and civilians of re-enactment group New France Old England will welcome visitors into their 18th-century tented encampment in the grounds of Kelmarsh Hall.
Visitors will be able to experience the everyday life of those who lived during the times of colonial North America when Britain and France battled for control of a continent. The conflict became known as the French and Indian War and was famously portrayed in the film the Last of the Mohicans.
The highlight each day will be an exciting skirmish fought in Kelmarsh Hall’s beautiful 18th century landscape, when a little bit of England will be transported back in time to colonial North America.
