A STAR of breakfast television and a prominent broadcast journalist will be appearing at a literary festival.

A regular on GMTV from 1993 to 2010, Fiona Phillips, and Peter Snow, one of the presenters of the BBC’s election coverage, will be appearing at the Althorp Literary Festival which is in now in its eight year.

Fiona will be talking about her extraordinary book, Before I Forget which talks about the many periods of her life.

It covers her childhood, her time on breakfast television and her painful journey as both her mother and father succumb to Alzheimer’s.

Peter will be sharing details of his fascinating new book To War with Wellington: From the Peninsula to Waterloo.

He will be investigating what made the Duke of Wellington the military genius he became.

He will talk about the people who turned him from the sensitive schoolboy who played the violin to the aloof but brilliant military commander.

The Althorp Literary Festival will be held at the famous historic house from June 10 to 12.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale from April 2011.
