Hundreds of people visited a village festival over the weekend to witness some rather scary attractions.
The Harpole Scarecrow Festival was held on Saturday and Sunday for the 17th successive year and there were plenty of famous faces dotted throughout the village.
Youngsters enjoyed the scarecrow trail competition as well as other fun and games including open top bus rides, music and dance, food and drink, stalls and a vintage car show.
Prior to the festival the organisers were approached by McCain Foods who were talent scouting for a scarecrow to appear in a forthcoming advert. Visitors to the festival were asked to vote for their favourite scarecrow, which will now be taken to London for a McCain selection process.
Organisers said via their Facebook page: “Another successful festival weekend been and gone!
“Thank you to everyone that came out to support us this weekend, and to all the volunteers who gave up their time.
“Without you all the festival would not have been possible.”
A final total for the event has not yet been released, but the money from the festival will be donated to various good causes in the village.
