WELTON Players will be putting on a traditional pantomime with a twist in their latest production.

The group presents Goldilocks and the Three Bears with performances each night between Wednesday, February 1 and Saturday, February 4.

Mariann Holloway, one of the co-directors alongside Samantha Cooper, said: “It will be the traditional tale but there will be a really big twist. I don’t want to say what the twist is but it should be something that people like.

“We have worked very hard to try and find a pantomime that we have not done for a little while and we have not done this recently.”

There is a cast of 20 who have been working since September to put on the show.

Mariann said: “It is a really good show. There should be a lot of laughs. A huge thank you to all the people who have helped on this show. I really hope our audiences enjoy it.”

Performances start at 7.30pm each night. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for primary school children.

They can be booked by calling Jeanette Mortimore on 01327 871011.

Pictured in rehearsals are Toby Bassett, nine (villager); Charly Cooper, 10 (a brownie); Bradlee Knight, 16 (front end of the cow and Jay Heath, 15 (back end of the cow).
