Love will be in the air at Kilsby Village Hall when a musician performs next week.
Barb Jungr, an acclaimed song stylist will be performing a concert called The Men I Love.
It will take place on Tuesday starting at 7.30pm.
She will be presenting a collection of some of the most beautiful songs to have been written by popular composers and writers on the theme of love.
Performances of songs will include those by Bob Dylan, Lenoard Cohen, Neil Diamond and many more with Jungr bringing her uniquevocal vision to the material.
She has recently returned from a sell-out tour of Australia, a run at The Edinburgh Festival, three seasons in New York and extensive performances in the UK.
Barb has performed on BBC breakfast on the recent release of her CD, The Men I Love, and was recently interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
During last year, Barb worked on and completed her long-awaited new release Stockport To Memphis with collaborators Simon Wallace and Jenny Carr, while touring and writing.
The album, released on Naim Jazz in October 2012, is biographical, drawing on Jungr’s north-western upbringing having been born and raised and celebrates elements of her musical and geographic journey
The show has been bought to the village hall by Northants Touring Arts which aims to bring top quality theatre, music, dance, comedy, storytelling and events for children to rural village locations.
Each year the organisation works with volunteers to put on more than 60 events across Northamptonshire.
