Mishaps add to the laughs with farce on the stage

Peter Pan Goes Wrong
Peter Pan Goes Wrong

Normally when a show goes wrong, it is a disaster. But in this case it all adds to the laughs and delights.

Peter Pan Goes Wrong sees The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society set out to present J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of Peter Pan, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong does as the accident-prone thesps embark on a thrilling adventure to Neverland, with hilariously disastrous results.

Following on from The Play that Went Wrong performed last year by the same company, you would have been disappointed if there wasn’t chaos from the first minute. And there was as soon as you walked into the auditorium.

With cast members constantly knocked out in ways reminiscent of sitcom Bottom, this is a non stop barrel of laughs from the first to last minute.

I won’t spoil the gags as they are best seen and heard for yourselves, but suffice to say the Mischief Theatre Company outdid themselves. You’ll be exhausted from laughing so much at the end of the show.
